Surge Solutions is built around its in-house technology platform. This figure shows the observed field data for Water Cut (blue points) and the output of an analytical model (blue line). We digitize all field data due to the frequent recurrence and high precision our models require. All of these data are collected and stored automatically on computer systems designed by Surge prior to evaluation. We also can digitize and utilize data which operators have currently collected. Surge’s powerful mass balance based analytical models utilize field data, analog performance and simple physics to output accurate and low-burden forecasts of oil recovery for a wide array of EOR processes.
With this tool, we can determine which wells are responsible for the bulk of water production in the asset, and shut them down, while maintaining future increased production in the oil-rich wells. The software automatically optimizes for the current production solution and generates forecasts of future performance. This is especially useful for Enhanced Oil Recovery, as production of too much water can add significantly to the operational expense burden of a project.
Custom Technology
We utilize our in-house rapid screening tool to evaluate target assets for a range of potential EOR technologies. Our team is experienced in waterflooding, polymer flooding, surfactant-based flooding, miscible CO2, immiscible CO2, rich gas and thermal processes. With our network of technologists and in-house experts, we can build-to-suit EOR solutions for most conventional reservoirs.

This allows us unprecedented insight into the performance of the oilfield, from the historic production phase to EOR and eventual abandonment. Our in-house experts can outfit project assets with sensors, computers, data storage centers and automated access portals so the data is at the fingertips of those who need it, while our hardened security system keeps data unauthorized individuals out.
